A: You didn't install the mod properly. see the installation instructions below on how to install it properly. Q: Textures for the guns are weird/not showing properly. A: This is a problem with Archive Invalidation, one of Bethesda's 'bright' ideas *rolls eyes* To fix it you need something called Archive Invalidation Invalidated. Make sure that you downloaded all necessary files and extracted them to the correct folder. Q: Fallout 3 Crashes when I enable the Marts FOOK Esp A: You have the old version of Marts Monster Mod (Marts Increased Spawns or Marts Tougher Traders) You need the newest version of Marts Mutant Mod which includes an ESM which you need. Also make sure that your load order is properly set up. Q: Weapons are [showing up as] too powerful A: The damage value displayed in the Pipboy is often very misleading. Don't take it too serious cause it's bugged when it comes to Shotgun damage and also doesn't tell you anything about stats like accuracy, critical damage etc. which are also very important to determine the total power of a weapon. In the future we will release a document that gives a detailed overview of the weapon stats. Q: I don't like the way the weapons look. A: Then don't download/rate the mod. Q: The game is too easy/hard! A: Use the difficulty slider. Its there for a reason. If the game is still too easy, use Marts Mutant Mod to increase the spawns. If it's too hard, use a partner or two. Or an army (Enclave Commander) Q: Partners are killing me and/or each other with explosives by accident! A: Don't give them explosive weapons. Unfortunately NPCs and explosive weapons don't seem to mix very well, and there is next to nothing we can do about it. Blame Bethesda for not giving them proper AIs with explosives, not us. Though its heavily recommended you use a mod that makes partners essential (not able to permanently die) anyway, such as FO3 Phalanx. Q: Does this require Operation Ancorage (OPANC)? A: No. Q: FOSE? A: No, FOOK doesn't require FOSE. The latest version of Enclave Commander (v8.0) does however require FOSE but plz don't direct any questions regarding issues with FOSE to us. Q: Nude people/people have no weapons after update A: You need to wait for them to respawn. Usually this is 3 days. The fastest way to do this is to go into an interior with no one or very few people in it (IE Moria's shop, your house, Uncle Roe's House, Museum of Dave, ETC). Then In console, type "Set Timescale to 1000000" without quotes. We didn't want to force anyone to download the whole retexture pack to get decent looking PA gear combinations so they will now be included in the main files. * MMMF3 - FOOK plugin updated to the latest version and on top of this like always a lot of bug fixing. ========================================= =============== FOOK v1.2 =============== ========================================= General: - Complete overhaul of ALL weapons (yes rly every single one), too many changes to list them here, basicly was the damage and accuracy reduced so weapons are closer to vanilla but especially late game weapons will still hurt a lot. Also redone were the weapon prices, in general lower and making more sense than before. - T3T is now fully integrated (though with adjustment to weapon stats due to our changed balance) - Weapon and outfit lists for NPC's were completly redone. Outfit variety will be increased ie more use of helmets, hats etc. with glasses, masks etc. and camo outfits will now even have matching color (for example green bandana and green field jacket). Weapons will now spawn gradually with the PC lvl, we added to every Weapon a lvl requirement, no more high tech weapons in the early game. The bigger/stronger weapons will also become slowly more common with the PC lvl so that not only the type of weapons changes with your level but also how common/rare they are. - Many weapon names and stats (like weight) changed to their "real" designations/values (at least to the best of my abilities, checked many scources but its ofc welcome if you can help me to correct any mistakes) - FOOK supports and uses now the CALIBR mod which adds many new ammo types to the game - Complete weapon sound overhaul thanks to funkmastad's "Sound Overhaul Mixtape" (and all modders that were involved in this, see also our credits) and Honnou's modder source sounds. - FOOK Enclave Commander esp updated to work with version v8.0 of EC Gameplay: - Ammo spawns / loot was reduced A LOT. - Scrap Metal isn't as common anymore - removed all speed reductions from armor. They seemed to affect NPC's too much and thus aren't rly worth the trouble - Now that a slot is free for PA's we added the carry weight increase back to power armor instead of their helmets - FOOK uses now these additional ammo types: * 12,7mm Depleted Uranium - Based on real world 12,7 ammo (also known as 50BMG) and replaces the 5mm ammo. This calibr is the standard ammo for all Miniguns. We decided to use 12,7mm cause that makes the most sense based on the fact that many real life miniguns/machine guns make use of this calibr. Due to balance reasons we decided to make this "depleted uranium" version of 12,7mm ammo as well as adding 50 BMG for the high tech sniper weapons / Bozar. It would have created balance problems if big guns and sniper rifles as the M82A3 would have used the same ammo (sniper would have had pretty much unlimited ammo). * 8mm Depleted Uranium - another new fictional ammo type introduced by us. This one will be used for post war high tech ballistic weapons. So far this affects pretty much just the ballistic weapons of the enclave ie the HA70, LA60 and EP1A use this new ammo type. They carry both BOS and Enclave tech (if they can make androids, surely they can produce/trade for BOS and Enclave equiment) - Added Raider, Regulator, Slaver, and Talon Company factions. - Restructure of the code. and each person is their own NPC instead of using the same 5 NPCs like the default ECC - All factions now carry weapons and armors specific to that faction. IE talon will only use talon weapons, BOS will only use BOS weapons, Enclave will only use Enclave weapons, etc. - Redid the assault squads so that they now carry Heavy assaults/MGS (PA factions) or SMGs (Non PA Factions). only the raiders use melee weapons. - Sentry bot now only available to factions that are tech-savvy enough to use it (BOS, Enclave, Commonwealth, Talon Company) - Non PA units given 60 instead of 40 health so they dont' die as quickly. - PA units given +25% extra speed to counteract FOOK's speed reduction (NPC's seem to suffer more under the speed reduction at least they can't keep up with the player) Installation: Just put the FOOK Enclave Commander esp into your Data folder. Weapons do now a lot more damage and are more accurate - Miniguns and Gatlings require Power Armor - Increased prices for medi kits >> ARMOR/OUTFIT OVERHAUL: The armor overhaul tries to give all armor and outfits a better use so that you just don't go through the usual list of vault armor, combat armor, ranger's CA and then PA. That is in my opinion really boring and doesn't offer any real choices. Currently armor is pretty much all about DR, we want to change this and make the apparel in the game more interesting. To achive this we added many abilities to the apparel in the game. Most offer advantages like skill improvements or special points but there are also some pretty hefty drawbacks for things like Power Armor in order to balance it and to allow for more specialisation and a little bit more realism. This is of course an ongoing project as there is a lot to do and we will need feedback on how our changes work out. I also need to mention that i had to change the object effect names ingame to abbrevations. Reasons for this are Fallout's UI limitations. If there are too many effects and thus the text doesn't fit into the available space the game will crash. Don't ask me why Bethesda put such limitations on their interface or why the game crahes cause of it. The switch to abbrevations allows us to use up to 8 effects (more doesn't fit).
